In order to maintain the quality and natural luster of your amber, dZi, or jade item, there are a few guidelines to keep in mind. For amber, rinse in slow running, cool tap water only for one second, and soak up the wetness with a clean, soft, dry cloth. For dZi and jade, flush or dip the dZi or jade in room temperature water for a few seconds. Soak up the wetness immediately with a clean, soft, dry cloth and polish slightly if needed. Repeat two to three more times if needed.

For all amber, dZi, and jade, never expose to soap, detergents or other chemicals, including bleach, fingernail polish removers, paint thinners, perfumes, grease and other contaminants. Do not expose to fire, heat, strong light, or microwave. Avoid contact or friction with other beads, jewelry, or hard objects. These precious beads/jades require delicate handling and should never be dropped.

In order to prolong the life of the cord, elastic band, or wire in the bracelet, necklace, or pendant, avoid exposing to moisture or putting on/taking off the item in a rough manner. Handle the item gently, and inspect the cord, elastic band, wire, or clasp occasionally to detect any signs of wear and tear. If this happens, be sure to have the item restrung (We provide a restringing service at a reasonable fee. Please e-mail your inquiry to us for a price quote).
